Safer Together

WAGE Canada is the sole funder for the Safer Together project, giving Queer Yukon Society the opportunity to support remote Yukon communities.

Safer together is a grassroots initiative to support community leaders in rural Yukon. This 26-month project works to address needs and barriers faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ people by improving access to resources and services, reducing stigma, and promoting inclusion in remote communities. Safer Together provides in-person programming as requested, and is developing an online network to create a lasting impact on connection, safety, and support.

Queer Yukon Society is dedicated to creating a safe environment for all members. As such, we have implemented a variety of measures to keep your child safe. Our moderators filter comments, monitor members, and report content that violates the QYS guidelines. In addition, we also provide a list of be-safer-online tips to support your child. We welcome and encourage you to join our server as well!
