Planning for Whitehorse Pride is in full swing! The annual festival will take place August 12-23 with a series of activities and events.

Melinda Verga describes her drag as fun, fierce, and fabulous ... with a hint of messiness. This seasoned queen (read: old) is known for her high-energy performances, original lewks, and live singing. Get ready for Edmonton's gaysian sensation, MELINDA VERGA!
In 2020, Ilona Verley became the first Indigenous Two-Spirit queen to appear in the globally beloved Drag Race franchise. Verley is Nlaka’pamux, a people of the Interior Salish language group in southern British Columbia.
Based in Vancouver, Ra (she/they) is a fierce and fashion-forward drag artist blending Indian glamour, high fashion, and pop culture into every performance. Her work is rooted in empowering immigrants and Brown communities to live authentically, embrace their individuality, and take pride in their cultural heritage. With a presence that is both classy and commanding, Ra brings glamour, power, and purpose to every stage she touches.

Pride Festival Safety Plan
Queer Yukon Society (QYS) wants Pride to be a place where people can come together, celebrate, and participate without experiencing violence, harassment, or discrimination.
We also recognize that no event can be completely safe. Our approach is to plan ahead, make sure staff and volunteers know what to do when concerns arise, and have clear pathways to additional help when something is beyond our capacity.
