Our Drop-In Spaces
Our community spaces in Whitehorse and Watson Lake are safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental places for anybody who lives and identifies as 2SLGBTQIA+ and their children or who is a parent/service provider to 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. Allies welcome when accompanying an individual who identifies as 2SLGBTQIA+.
Whitehorse Drop-In
We are located at 4230 4 Ave #10. Entrance Door is on Baxter St, across from Bright Stars daycare.
Hours
September: Tuesday and Thursday 2-5PM
October-December: Tuesday 11:30am-1:30pm & Thursday 3-6PM
Closed on holidays
At Drop-In, we provide:
Scanning and sending documents by e-mail
Use of the Drop-In computer
Make referrals and support you in finding services and resources
Laundry
Peer support from our staff
Ability to use our Drop-In public phone for local calls
We have a lovely section for our used clothes for people to go through
Espresso Yourself: A Pop-Up Rainbow Café.
Opens October 13 and runs every Tuesday to December 22 from 11:30am-1:30pm
For 2SLGBTQIA+ folks to enjoy free coffee, pumpkin spice lattes, and baked goods while you study, meet up with friends, play board games, read a book, or co-work.
We will have baked goods (first come first serve), but do bring your lunch if you would like to eat something more substantial.
