Safer Together Quilting Series

The Safer Together Quilting Series is a territory-wide project supporting community safety and togetherness. Inspired by various Social Justice Quilting Series, the Safer Together project aims to create a Yukon art piece that represents rural voices and bring forward understanding of community safety and connection.

This project includes travel to various rural communities where Safer Together has been invited to host community quilting circles. Each attendee will create a quilt square that embodies safety, connection, and pride in rural spaces. All pieces from the rural quilting circles will then be stitched together into one large quilt to become a community art piece.

The final quilt will be presented at community events such as pride, community booths, and artist showcases.
