Come out, come out, where ever you are! Calling all Queers: genderqueers, non-binary folks, trans* fam, bears, biLoveables, gays, dykes, femmes, harness wearers, bottom thrusters, and everyone else living anywhere in the Yukon: Submit your proposals for events that prioritize, support, create, and explore LGBTQIA2S+ community!
Preference will be given to events that prioritize QTBIPOC (Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) communities. Event proposals will be reviewed by the Yukon Pride Centre’s Community Engagement Staff and honorariums will be provided to event organizers.

Who We are looking for event proposals and ideas from the LGBTQI2S+ community in the Yukon.
What Folks are invited to plan and organize events they would like to see over the next couple of months. Organizers will receive event planning support from the Yukon Pride Centre. Our goal is to make space for community to create the events they want to see! While we are looking to fund as many projects as possible, we cannot guarantee that every project idea will be funded.
Where Events can be held online or in-person (following the Yukon’s COVID-19 related guidelines) in any community in the Yukon. All events should focus on the Yukon community.
When Events must occur between September 18, 2020 and November 30, 2020.
Why These community events will give the Yukon Pride Centre a chance to hear from community members as we develop a Pride Centre for all LGBTQI2S+ Yukoners. The Yukon Pride Centre gratefully acknowledges funding from the Government of Yukon, as well as the Canadian Red Cross and the Government of Canada through the Canadian Red Cross Emergency Support Program to coordinate this series of events.

COVID-19 All events must follow current COVID-19 guidelines as set out by the Yukon Government and the Government of Canada. As the situation evolves, events are required to adjust accordingly to any new and future COVID-19 recommendations.
