PERFORMER GRANT program

Queer Yukon is launching an honorarium grant program for performers involved with Queer Yukon events.

We are aware that there are various barriers people could be facing that affect the amount of time, energy and capacity they're able to commit to performing in events. These include but aren't limited to experiencing anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, ablesim, transphobia, and housing insecurity. These grants are available for LGBTQIA2S+ community members who self-identify as QTBIPOC, Trans and/or Non-Binary, have a disability, are experiencing housing insecurity, or are from a Yukon First Nation. Performers may not receive more than one grant per individual event.

These grants are 25% of the honoraria. These grants are specifically for Queer Yukon events and selected performers, that have already been approved. Performances that require less preparation than a full stage performance may still qualify for grants, but will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Any of the information provided through applications for these grants or for future opportunities will only be seen by Queer Yukon staff.
