NADEJDA (NADIA) SKOFENKO

Nadia moved to Canada about 6 years ago and now lives on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwächän Council. She was born and raised in a country
that is located in Central Asia, called Uzbekistan. She is fluent in both Ukrainian and Russian. Nadia’s full name is Nadejda (Надежда) which translates to “Hope” from Russian.

Nadia is a passionate, active, university student who is currently working towards a double major in Psychology with a Specialization degree and a Teaching degree from University of Alberta. Nadia is very passionate about her studies and is excited to find practical uses for her degree that will benefit her community.
