Lauren VaillanCourt (SHE/HER)

Administrative Assistant
GÉRANT D'ADMINISTRATION
Picture
Lauren currently lives in Whitehorse on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta’an Kwächän Council. She was born and raised in Nelson, BC on the traditional territories of the Ktunaxa amakis first nations. Moving to Victoria, BC in 2017, Lauren studied Political Science, and deepened her love for taking political action, especially involving environmental and immigration policy.

Over the past two years Lauren has spent her days working in finance, where she was the pride representative and worked with others in the industry to raise funds for pride initiatives, educate staff and clients about Queer issues. With experience volunteering and participating in many different Pride celebrations, Lauren is looking forward to many years of service with the Queer Yukon Society.

When not working, Lauren is often out with her dog, Freddie, exploring all the Yukon has to offer.
