iso: cOMMUNITY
Calling all photographers; amateur, professional, and somewhere in between! We want to give a glimpse of LGBTQIA2S+ life in the North and help show each other that while we may be geographically spread out, we exist in the North and we can create community.
Guidelines
We're looking for photos of anything that captures your identity: portraits, landscapes, artistic shots, or anything that represents queer community. This event is open to all ages and all Yukon communities. We are offering a small honorarium for submissions.
We hope to gather a gallery of queer representation in the North. If the photographer consents, their images will join a collection of photographs from across the Yukon that will be exhibited at various community spaces in the Territory. Subjects in photographs must give consent for the photograph to be submitted.
Cameras
"Professional" quality not required; pictures by phone cameras encouraged
If access to a camera is a barrier, please contact takeover@queeryukon.com.
If you're in Dawson City, you can borrow a camera through KIAC! Contact programs@kiac.ca for more information.
How to Participate
Submitting a photo is a simple two-step process!
